Manage a caseload of sexual assault and abuse matters from intake through resolution, including both pre-suit and active litigation.
Build trusted client relationships through consistent, trauma-informed communication and counseling.
Investigate claims, including obtaining records, conducting witness interviews, submitting FOIA/public records requests, and working with experts to develop liability and damages.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, demand letters, settlement agreements, and other substantive legal filings.
Handle all aspects of discovery, including preparing clients and witnesses, and taking and defending depositions.
Represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and, when necessary, trial.
Negotiate settlements and collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to achieve successful client outcomes.

\nQualifications\n\n

4–6 years of civil litigation experience.
Plaintiff-side, personal injury, survivor advocacy, or sexual assault/abuse litigation experience preferred.
Attorneys with prosecutorial or public defender experience are encouraged to apply.
Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and litigation judgment.
Demonstrated empathy, professionalism, and commitment to client advocacy.
Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Illinois.

\nCompensation & Benefits\n\n

$110,000–$150,000 base salary, plus bonus opportunity.
Hybrid schedule (Tuesday–Thursday in office).
