Cost Estimator - Power Generation Capital Projects

Our client, a renewable energy power producer, is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Cost Estimator to support the development and execution of renewable energy projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring projects are accurately scoped, competitively priced, and effectively budgeted throughout the planning and construction phases. Our client offers:

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare both conceptual and detailed cost estimates for renewable energy projects across various development stages.
Analyze project plans, perform quantity take-offs, and assess contractor and subcontractor proposals.
Support procurement and bidding efforts, including preparation and evaluation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
Monitor and report on market trends related to materials, labor, and commodities to inform pricing strategies.
Recommend cost optimization strategies and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Develop internal estimates to forecast project scope, cost, and timelines during early development phases.
Maintain and update construction estimating tools with real-time data and insights provided by the Construction Team.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and external partners to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
Assist during the construction phase by reviewing change orders and tracking project costs.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance or related field.
At least 2-3 years of experience in major infrastructure design preferred and experience in renewable energy construction and design.
Strong communications skills and the ability to provide training on complex operations
Experience in renewable energy construction and design.
