We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to join our client, with a strong background in FPGA and digital design to lead the development of secure, tactical communication products. In this role, you will oversee a team of embedded FPGA engineers responsible for designing and implementing firmware for advanced wireless communication systems. The ideal candidate brings over 8 years of experience in FPGA/firmware development, along with proven leadership in managing technical teams and complex projects. You will be accountable for resource planning, scheduling, and budget management, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and validate FPGA solutions for radio product development. In addition to technical leadership, you will play a key role in mentoring and developing your team, ensuring both project success and individual career growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of FPGA engineers, including goal setting, performance management, and professional development
Drive project execution to successful delivery, ensuring alignment with timelines and performance metrics
Continuously improve FPGA development processes and best practices
Develop cost estimates and project schedules for FPGA initiatives
Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement FPGA-based solutions
Support hiring, training, and career development of direct reports
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in FPGA/ASIC development and verification for embedded systems
Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams and projects
Strong understanding of FPGA/ASIC development and verification methodologies
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
